The Oromo Resurrection Evangelical Church’s Vision and Mission



“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” Matthew 28:18-20.

The Mission of the Oromo Resurrection Evangelical Church (OREC) is to fulfill the ‘great commission’ commanded by our Lord. The OREC strives to minister the spiritual needs of all nations throu

gh proclaiming the liberating power of the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ, making discipleship by teaching and training, supporting missions to expand the Gospel of Jesus, and nurturing the Congregation.


The vision of the Oromo Resurrection Evangelical Church is to take part in accomplishing the great commission (our mission)

Thus, the vision of the Oromo Resurrection Evangelical Church is:

  1. Building strong bible based, spirit filled, faithful, mission oriented, and self-supporting church that will stretch out to reach to the lost world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ primarily to the afaan-oromo speaking people. “Be dressed ready for service a
